Planning & Zoning is responsible for the governing of all uses of land and developments within the city limits of the City of Albany and the unicorporated limits of Dougherty County. This includes the administration of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, Zonings, Site Plan and Subdivision Ordinances, Flood Management Plan and Ordinances, and Sign Oridinances. The staff also provides support to several citizen commissions and boards, including Planning, Historic Preservation, and Floodplain Management.
