HOME Homeowner Rehabilitation Program

The City of Albany's HOME Homeowner Rehabilitation Program is designed to assit eligible low-moderate income households within the City of Albany, Georgia to address long-term physical problems in their homes so that assisted families have decent, safe and sanitary housing in which to live, and to improve living conditions in targeted low-moderate income neighborhoods.  The program utilizes funding provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME).

Emergency Repair Program

The City of Albany, Department of Community & Economic Development, and Housing Division provides assistance to eligible low and moderate income households within the City of Albany, Georgia through its Emergency Repair Program. Emergency repairs such as plumbing, electrical, roofing and heating are conducted on housing units to improve dangerous, hazardous, and /or unsanitary conditions that create an immediate danger to the individuals’ health or safety.

The City of Albany, Georgia Department of Community & Economic Development is no longer accepting applications for its Homeowner’s Rehabilitation and Emergency Repair Programs. The number of applications received for theses programs beginning on July 1, 2012 has exceeded each program’s threshold for the current year and has resulted in an extensive waiting list.
